Remembering Those We Never Knew But Wish We Had

Memorial Day 2025 

I first posted this last year- 2024- but it seems still fitting and maybe I'll repeat it again every year as a tradition.  The Memorial of today is to the young people who lost their lives before they even started.  This is my second cousin - my father's first cousin- lost in WW II - his face is so young and filled with the expectancy of a full life of weddings and children and grandchildren,  birthdays and holidays and achievement. That's what was lost on the battlefield- a life not lived.  RIP Robert Marshall,  I wish I had known you.

  I found this picture a few years ago in my grandmother’s old photo album- Lt. Robert Marshall - she remarked "My Nephew Lt. Robert Marshall, lost in action in 1943. Pictures taken while a cadet at LSU - La." He was “lost” in action - so I assume killed - but she doesn’t say anything about where or how, and my father never mentioned this cousin. I often think about him- he’s so young with a lifetime ahead of him. A big smile with the hopes of any young man at that age. Consider those lives lost & the huge price they paid. Defeating the Nazis & Fascist Japan was the high-point of our history in my humble opinion. On this Memorial Day I remember Lt. Robert Marshall. Lost to the world in WWII.

MAHA and the Media that Scorns It

Dear Loyal Readers-  Trying out a different type of blog today where I remark on random issues in the media and then do a running commentary on an article from one of our illustrious "news" sources regarding current events.  Today, my favorite,  the Associated Propaganda - I mean "Press".  

News that's not news

A few things today- in the "News that's not news" category - 1) Joe Biden is found to have not been running the country when he was President.  2) "Reliable sources" report that Bill Clinton was one of the top clients for Jeffrey Epstein's island paradise for perverts.  3) The last one is that RFK is testifying in DC that processed food is bad for you- which leads me to my topic of the day- an Associated Press report on the MAHA testimony of Kennedy.

Running commentary on AP Report - MAHA   

     I've been casually watching as RFK has been focused on the sorry state of health in the USA.  I braved an article in the Orlando Sentinel- (by the way they did NOT print my letter- from my last blog but they printed another letter I sent the next day- I will be posting it here on American Voice soon !) and it was a feed from the Associated Press.  Yes, for you dear readers I endure much !  So, I read their "take" on the whole thing and I had to "blog" about it some because it bugged me.    

    So, I pasted parts of the article below and have taken it upon myself to make a few comments IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS - to help you loyal readers to note the innuendo and subtle implications of the Marxists/Communists at the Associated Press.  This is actually one of their more neutral articles-- I was a little surprised.

WASHINGTON — A government report released on Thursday covering wide swaths of American health and wellness reflects some of the most contentious - CONTENTIOUS AND IGNORED LEST THEIR CORPORATE OVERLORDS GET UPSET AND STOP PAYING THEM ♚💵-views on vaccines, the nation’s food supply, pesticides and prescription drugs held by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The much-anticipated “Make America Healthy Again” report calls for increased scrutiny of the childhood vaccine schedule, a review of the pesticides sprayed on American crops and a description of the nation’s children as overmedicated and undernourished.

While it does not have the force of a law or official policy, the 69-page report will be used over the next 100 days for the MAHA commission to fashion a plan that can be implemented during the remainder of President Donald Trump’s term, Kennedy said in a call with reporters. He refused to provide details about who authored the report. OMINOUS COMMENT- IT'S SUSPICIOUS I GUESS ? 🔍

“We will save lives by addressing this chronic disease epidemic head on, we’re going to save a lot more money in the long run — and even in the short run,” Kennedy said.

Increased scrutiny of childhood vaccines — credited with saving millions of people from deadly diseases (OMG THEY HAVE TO POINT THAT OUT AS IF WE DON'T KNOW WHAT A VACCINE IS 🙄- "EVIL TRUMP MAN WANTS MORE DISEASE" ) - figures prominently in the report. It poses questions over the necessity of school mandates that require children to get vaccinated for admittance and suggestions that vaccines should undergo more clinical trials, including with placebos.  IN OTHER WORDS, HE BELIEVES PEOPLE SHOULD MAKE THAT DECISION FOR THEMSELVES NOT BE FORCED INTO IT. 

Kennedy, a long-time vaccine critic who previously led a nonprofit that has made false claims -ACCORDING TO WHOM?- about the shots, has continued to raise doubts about the safety of inoculations even as a measles outbreak has sickened more than 1,000 Americans- THERE WAS A SIMILAR SIZED OUTBREAK IN 2019 THEY FAIL TO MENTION AND MEASLE OUTBREAKS ARE PRETTY COMMON. This week, Kennedy’s health department moved to limit U.S. access to COVID-19 shots.  THE VACCINE FOUND TO HAVE LITERALLY KILLED PEOPLE 💀

The report does not provide any evidence that the childhood vaccine schedule — which includes shots for measles, polio and the chickenpox — is to blame for rising obesity, diabetes or autism rates, pointed out Amesh Adalja, an infectious disease physician at Johns Hopkins University.  COVERING THEIR ASS WITH SOME RANDOM "PHYSICIAN" FROM A PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITY - 🎓 BIG PHARM IS WATCHING !   👀

“It’s not as if they’re positing any kind of causal link,” Adalja said, adding that Kennedy is “trying to devalue vaccines in the minds of Americans.”  HE'S BRINGING UP A LEGITIMATE CONCERN - ALL INFANTS GET MEGA VACCINES  THE WEEK THEY'RE BORN AND CONCERNS HAVE LITERALLY BEEN SILENCED IF THEY ARE NOT IN LOCKSTEP WITH BIG PHARM 💲

HERE FOR A FEW PARAGRAPHS THAT I REMOVED IT SIMPLY COMMENTS ON USA VS EUROPE AND THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENCES OF OPINION WITHIN THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION--IT'S VERY DRY READING- YOU DIDN'T MISS ANYTHING 

Ultraprocessed foods — industrially made products high in refined grains, sugar, saturated fats and additives like artificial dyes that now make up two-third of the diet for U.S. teens and children — are also hammered in the report. Such products have been linked to a host of poor health outcomes.   WHICH WE'VE ALL KNOWN INTUITIVELY FOR ABOUT 50 YEARS BUT NOBODY- INCLUDING THE ASSOCIATED PRESS 'NOR THE $100 BILLION DOLLAR DEPT OF HEALTH- GAVE IT TOO MUCH ATTENTION

The MAHA commission report “is a pretty accurate depiction of the nutrition crisis facing our country,” said Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, an expert in nutrition and policy at Tufts University.  VERY GOOD !  A+

The report also focuses on how too few fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and fish are present in U.S. diets, he noted. But the report leaves out excess salt, which causes harm, even in young children.  WHAT A WEIRD THING TO COMMENT ON- SALT ? 😕

The MAHA report calls on the National Institutes of Health to execute sweeping, nationwide studies of ultraprocessed foods, even as the White House has called for $18 billion to be axed from the agency’s budget. An extra $500 million has been requested from Congress for Kennedy’s MAHA initiative.  DOES IT REALLY COST BILLIONS TO FIGURE OUT PROCESSED FOOD IS BAD FOR YOU ?  

The report raises concerns about other environmental and chemical research results, funded by corporations and industry, being skewed.  IT DEFINITELY HAS BEEN 

But the MAHA commission’s call for more neutral research comes as sweeping budget and staff cuts propelled by Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency have resulted in 20,000 jobs lost at the nation’s health department and billions of dollars rescinded for research studies. The Trump administration also gutted the Environmental Public Health Tracking Program in its cuts of health-tracking programs.  20K JOBS CUT FROM AN INEFFECTIVE AGENCY THAT HAS ALLOWED ALL THIS TO GO ON FOR DECADES- CRY ME A RIVER 😢

The report also raises concerns about lack of physical activity among children and their prescription drug use, including antibiotics and medications used to treat attention deficit disorders.  NO KIDDING - YOU MEAN PUTTING CHEMICALS IN LITTLE BOYS FOR BEING "TOO ACTIVE" MIGHT BE BAD FOR THEM ?  BUT WE NEED $100 BILLION DOLLARS TO "PROVE" IT I'LL BET

Stealing Democracy

                                        Today's Orlando Sentinel - Regarding the Theft of Democracy 

     I haven't written to the local "bugle" the Orlando Sentinel in a while, but they printed this comic strip causing a new blog to be born in my brain and perhaps a published letter on their Opinions page.   I do appreciate that the Orlando Sentinel often prints my conservative leaning letters so I give them accolades for at least allowing other opinions.  

       So here's the letter I will write to them regarding this comic panel- and then I'd like to elaborate a bit more on who's really stealing our Democracy- perhaps tomorrow or maybe today- I don't know I'm running late again this morning.   

Dear Editor-  I reviewed your comic panel on the opinions page with interest as it revealed the dangers of losing our Democracy to billionaires.  I'm trying to draw up examples of billionaires stealing a Democracy in history but am falling short.  I can, however give you many examples of Democracies being stolen by government- in fact that's the only way a Democracy can be stolen.  Review all tyrants in history- from Stalin to Hitler to Mussolini to Tojo to Castro.  From the Communists to Nazis to Kings and Queens- Democracy is not stolen by billionaires it's stolen by the government.  The group looking to limit government intrusion into the individual's life is the true defendant of Democracy.  If you want more control, to seize guns,  more taxes, more limits on free speech or limits on religious activity, fewer freedoms and you're in government- you, sir or madam are the tyrant that is "stealing Democracy".  

    If they print my letter I will advise the reader in this blog. 

UPDATE:  Okay, so they did not print this letter but they printed another letter that I felt compelled to write them but really didn't expect them to print---- and they did !  I will post that letter this coming week.

      As a conservative man in the era of Donald Trump I am witness to much hysterics from the left regarding what a misogynist he supposedly is, and regarding how unfair all the white male dominance of American society is, and what a victim everyone is except, of course,  white man himself.  Their hatred of Donald Trump and now his associate, Elon Musk,  travels over to anyone who even suggests he's not absolutely evil.  At this point in politics I find I have a grasp of when someone is a phony and when someone is really trying to make a difference.  The Democrat party are not interested in making a difference.  They're interested in screeching and virtue signaling and foaming at the mouth regarding all things Trump.  They are hate and victimhood.   They are the masters of virtue signaling.   They cry and scream and are scandalized by everything and yet they offer no solutions to the problems that they imagine.  Their solution is to scream and behave like children- to burn and loot and to suggest violence against those who oppose them.  Quite frequently they don't even understand the problem.  They cannot answer the questions "What is a woman?" but will glare at you for daring to ask.  While much of the world hopes to solve mankind's problems- the left would find fault in that I just said "mankind".   The left absolutely does not care about solutions.  They are the party of envy.  Most of the evil in the world springs from envy.  They want to destroy what is good and decent.  They have contempt for people with solutions.  They seek faults and mistakes and scream to get attention when they see one.  This is why the media is like it is today- it has no solutions 'nor does it really want one.  They have no ideas.  Their solution is violence and destructive actions.  Their aim and reason for existing is to draw attention to themselves and the consequent money.   They have no humility, and they have no truth.  They are selfish, narcissistic, greedy, nefarious liars.  

     So now we have a President with solutions who wants to make a difference in the lives of American people along with Elon Musk- the most brilliant and successful man alive today.  They have everything to lose and nothing to gain doing what they're doing- working to improve the lives of Americans.   They have found waste and fraud much worse than anyone had thought possible AND they have solutions.  They have solutions to the nation's slide into mediocrity.  They have solutions to the nation's national debt that could bankrupt us.  They have solutions to the war in Ukraine VS Russia and the never- ending war of the middle east.  They have solutions to the evil and destruction that is the Democrat party today.  They have solutions to the poison that is our food and our medicines.   They have a sincere interest in helping people with real solutions to solve the problems of the American people- all the American people.  I cannot imagine being one to scrutinize and demean people looking to steer the ship that is our nation on a good and prosperous path.  No matter their skin color or sexual preference or religion- the ones that we should all be praying for and encouraging in our daily lives are the people looking to solve problems.  True leaders reveal the truth and are not afraid to challenge the lies that have hung over us for decades no matter the consequences.  The truth must be revealed regarding everything that contemporary society has been concealing from us.

The Enemedia Fights for the Bureaucracy

     When I was a kid we would watch the news every night at 6pm- usually Walter Cronkite on CBS and information was provided regarding what was going on in the world.  My parents read the newspaper every morning- The Sentinel Star- now called the Orlando Sentinel.  All was not perfect with the world but we had a good idea of what was going on and could make effective decisions regarding our everyday experiences as Americans and as voters.   It was very hard to tell the opinions of the talking heads and journalists.  They were providing information for us to decide on our own because they respected us to be capable of thinking for ourselves.   Today, such an experience does not exist.  The media has become part of the problem.  How are they the problem ?  Because they are so far biased it's impossible to really know what the truth is.  They (meaning mostly the Mainstream aka Legacy media) have no respect for us as the people and they feel emboldened to be a part of the political decision making process with very obvious efforts to tell us what we should be thinking.  

     Today it is safe to say most of the mainstream media in the world is "far left" and is incorporating "far left" ideology to Western Civilization.  Whether this is a coordinated effort or just random is unclear.  Is it a large foreign power bent on defeating American worldwide dominance  ?  Is it simply multi-national corporations bent on a monopoly for their products- pure greed ?  Is it  Marxist (closeted of course- nobody admits to being a Marxist) groups of Europeans and North Americans plotting to mold the world to their way of seeing things- making us all equal - equally poor ?   Whatever it is, it is not Free Press.  It is a concerted effort to get the citizens of the world to think the way this group of people think.  Anything that stands in the way of such is treated with great hostility and even violence.   Especially truth.  

     Our American forefathers established a society ruled by a government that is of the people, by the people and for the people.  That concept goes against the grain of the Enemedia that is so determined to tell us all how to live and feels emboldened to direct events to the favor of their political philosophy.   In a monarchy the King or Queen is the sovereign of the country - the mind of the country.  In the United States the American people are the Sovereign through the powers given in the Constitution.   In much of the world today there is this tyrannical mindset that wants to quiet dissent and iron out society according to their superficial needs and power.  Usually they hide behind large organizations- a bureaucracy.   In their mind- the Bureaucracy is the Sovereign and the powers behind such groups are, of course, the benefactors.   The mind of the people is what's being challenged here and we must meet that challenge with strength and virtue.  Do not give into their oppressive subjugation and definitions of what a Democracy should be.   We must never give in to the tyrants of the Enemedia.  We must challenge all their assumptions and all their directives with great will and resistance.  We must have  a determination to hold on to our liberty, whatever the cost may be.   Hold fast to true and rational thought and always  endeavor to lift mankind to the highest level it is capable of being through individual innovation, ingenuity, and liberty.   You and I are the Sovereign of the United States.  Never lose that powerful thought !  It is what millions of young Americans have died for in battle,  that this philosophy should prevail.
