USA: The Parties and Apathy are the Problem

                Apathy Allows Political Parties to Flourish Despite Their Abject Failure  

     It's common conversation today in both conservative and liberal circles to lament the "craziness" going on and how our country is in "serious" trouble.  I am no exception,  however as an Independent I I tend to focus much of my wrath on the political parties and all they represent.  Both parties have been leading our country for over 100 years and both parties have participated in establishing our gargantuan federal government, so blubberous and ineffective that nobody can even compute the national debt effectively.  Meanwhile our cities are decaying and government programs can't  keep the homeless off the streets.  Court decisions that don't go the way of the left result in riots in the streets.  There is no order.   There is no safety in the streets.  There is no peace.  There is no justice. There is only the Republicans, the Democrats and the Bureaucrats.  

     Our country is being run by unelected bureaucrats and political lobbyists.  If anyone doubts federal agencies are  running our government  I suggest they watch President Biden for a few minutes.  He's certainly not running the government - it's doubtful he could run a copy machine.  But someone is running it, and they've been doing it for a long time.   They've been doing it for so long that the media of DC would never dare question their authority and power, so they ignore it, or probably participate.  The true and decent search for truth is long dead.  Now they are owned by mysterious corporations who pull the strings of power and money to their own benefit.      

     The fact that nobody really focuses on why we continue to vote for these people is testament to the fact that the media and the parties are partners in crime.  If the media focused on the ineffectiveness of both parties it would be in public conversation enough for the people to have some confidence in considering alternatives.  As it is, independent candidates are mostly ignored and if they show any sort of chance to win an election, they will scrutinize the candidate and magnify their faults to the point of forcing doubt into the peoples' minds.   The parties must go on, I suppose.  

     That's all I have to say for this blog.  The parties are the problem.  I don't offer any solution and all I can do is try to vote Independent when I can.  I am a registered Republican ONLY because Florida is a closed primary state so I cannot vote in primary elections unless I'm a member of a party.  I am also a supporter of bringing power back to the states through the Convention of States movement  (As I've written in this blog several times) but I'm appalled at how many well educated people have no idea what I'm talking about.  The only solution is for people to stand up and start fighting back.  Our founding fathers risked hanging for speaking against the King- what do we risk here today, in our time?  Hardly anything except time and high blood pressure.  Both are well worth the risk.  The meaning behind this country is too important to let it die to apathy.

Dear wise readers,  

I had a post on Facebook that I left up for a few hours but decided it was too political to leave up. It is not too political for this blog though ! It was in response to a "friend" demonizing Fox News for "ruining" America. So, here it is;

"To all of you that hate Fox...the solitary voice of conservative thought on the national scene ! I rarely watch news anymore but I have found it a comfort that Fox is there with an opinion that leans conservative & not in agreement with the rest of them. Diversity of thought. .Corporate media control the thoughts of the public that watch them & are puppets of international conglomerates. They broadcast opinions of the left because it's far easier to control a left leaning government that feels entitled to maneuver the laws in their favor according to the wishes of corporate lobbyists. Disney bought Fox & it's slowly shoving it towards the left. Eventually it could be to your liking but any voice in favor of free thought & small controlled government on the national scene will be lost. Such ideas are a threat to those at the top of our society, in government, corporate, etc... You think you're supporting the little guy by cheering on mainstream journalists but it's actually quite the opposite. Liberties enshrined in the constitution could become vulnerable to shrill, hysterical, mob rule of the far left. Freedoms that even you consider important will be in danger of obliteration by a despotic government. Muzzle the voice of opposing views with great care. Eventually, it will be you who's muzzled."

     In several earlier blogs,  I labeled the idea of a Deep State or the "powers that be" as "Mad King George" because they are so much like the crazy king of England that managed to lose America due to his reckless thrusts at demonstrating power and refusal to see reason.  Our King George is a motley crew of career politicians,  corporate lobbyists, virtue signalling executives, a tyrannical media (that does the thinking for a lot of dimwitted people),  Hollywood superstars/executives cooped in their mansions with bodyguards and a sack full of obsequious bullshit,  and an academic/scientific community that feels it has now taken the place of God.   I don't believe in any conspiracy because to do so would imply something intelligent is going on.  It's not intelligent, it's just tyranny doing what it does- silencing the opposition and imposing its ideas on all of us  whether we want it or not.   All in the name of equality and "fairness".   They impose their will on the American people.  This is a very dangerous thing to do.

Mueller Investigation- They Searched for Cigarettes but Hoped for Heroin

     We should all be breathing a sigh of relief that the Mueller Investigation conjured up by the the Democrats did not reveal a treasonous president, right ?  Well, anyone watching the mass media these past two weeks knows that the Democrats are NOT relieved at all.  They are not relieved  because they weren't really looking for collusion in the first place.  They were looking for a reason to impeach President Trump and they used "collusion with a foreign government" as an excuse to keep looking under every rock for something more damaging.  Collusion with a foreign government is not illegal, it's simply inappropriate.  I liken the Mueller investigation to searching someone's home looking for cigarettes but hoping to find heroin.  They didn't find cigarettes 'nor heroin.  The Republicans, on the other hand, are doing a victory dance because the Democrats and their minions at CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NYTimes, et al...  have been made to look like fools, once again. 

     So, congratulations Republicans for another win under the President you hold your nose and love;  President Donald Trump.  He continues to win and I am not tired of this economy, that's for sure.  My comfort and satisfaction in life is a consequence of a vibrant economy as it is for the majority of Americans.  The fact that Trump is a blunt speaking, unpolished, un-presidential ogre is a  minor irritation that I have learned to live with.   Neither I 'nor the vast majority of Americans is under the illusion he is another Lincoln or Reagan.  He gets things done and helps to bolster the individual's ability to succeed.  That is at least as important as eloquence, in my humble opinion.  For now, anyway.  In the end, my fellow Americans, WE are in charge. 

      I am not relieved that Trump was found innocent of treason because I never thought he was guilty in the first place.   I knew it was another example of political, partisan nonsense.   The main premise of the Mueller investigation was that Donald Trump could not have won if it were not for the Russians helping him.  How could they have helped him ?  Do they have a knack for marketing to the American public that nobody else has ?  The 2016 election had billions of dollars thrown into it,  but somehow the fact that the Russians met with Trump and they spoke with him caused his victory ?   Trump helped the Russians "stir the pot" on Facebook and Twitter because normally Americans get along fine and dandy regarding politics ?   Is it that the American public is a bunch of idiots and this time they "got it wrong" because the crafty Russians fooled us all?   It's all so mind boggling stupid.  All Americans must understand that this was not a real investigation into Trump's dealing with Russians but it was a partisan attack with the very real intent to find something to bring down a duly elected President.   No,  I'm not relieved or happy I am livid !  I am "pissed off" not for the benefit of Donald Trump but for the way our government has become a three-ring circus of liars, greed, avarice,  and clowns.  The mainstream media are the ring masters of this treasonous sedition against the American people.
