American Voice Speaks Out To The Orlando Sentinel

By Charles Eldridge Marshall

The Orlando Sentinel

Dear Loyal Readers-

     As mentioned in my Blog before the last (or the one before that?)   I wrote a letter to our local "Bugle" here in Central Florida- The Orlando Sentinel- and they were kind enough to print it.   As is often the case, I wrote them an initial fiery letter that was probably a little "out of hand" (see blog "Stealing Democracy" from earlier this month).  They don't usually print rambling angry letters that lack focus- which may have been the problem.   Then I wrote another letter a couple of days later- this one still critical but more level-headed and calm- so they published it.  The Orlando Sentinel will only print letters from a reader one per month- so it's not worth trying for me again until July.  I often wonder if the Orlando Sentinel publishes my letters because most other letter writers are pretty bad, or is it because most of their readers are liberal so a more conservative opinion is like a rare plant to them, or is it because they actually like my writing ?   Anyway, here is my letter to them from one week ago.  I find myself defending Donald Trump more and more as the years go by - mainly because I think and feel his critics are unfair and frequently have an agenda that is much more in favor of the "Deep State- Mad King George- Marxists/Communists" than the American people.   They use his bad manners and blunt personality to bash his efforts and intentions with hysterical accusations that are quite frankly, ludicrous.   This letter came out of my opposition to all forms of hypocrisy.  When I smell a phony,  I have to scream it from the rooftops.  If there's one thing Donald Trump is not,  it's a phony.  The liberal media ?  That's another story.

Anyway, here it is;

In my humble opinion..........

Trump Causes Deep Fear in Some Important People - Why ?

 By CE Marshall

                                                        The Scream- by Edvard Munch

Fear is the kissing cousin to hate

     I've been watching Trump for a while now and I can't help but come to a conclusion regarding the man, other than some of the obvious adjectives.  The man instills fear in a lot of powerful people.  I've written blogs "pro" and "con" regarding President Trump over the years,  but this is the first where I'm reflecting on how people react to him, the man,  as President, as former President,  and as possible future President.   People fear him.  I don't mean the ordinary Democratic voter, the screeching Karens and virtue signalling college students - those who hate him for his "name calling" and his "mean tweets".    No, there's something else going on here.   That's the only conclusion I can come to after a lot of  consideration.  A lot of important people fear Donald Trump to a significant degree.

     Consider:   The corporate media created their monster.   Remember,  the media were not visibly opposed to Trump during the primaries.  Not until he actually won in 2016 did they react to this threat.  Why ?  Because he was NOT supposed to win!  When he won, you could see their shock on the screen.  "How could this be ?  We selected Hillary to be President"   They did not do the job of *Mad King George.  In fact, they failed miserably.   Today, they are determined that does not happen again as they pull out 99% of all criticism towards Trump here in 2024.   It could be their heads !  There is almost no effort to find out about Kamala Harris.  Is this because they like her ? No !  It's because they're afraid of Trump and the consequences of not holding up their part in the royal court.  People in power are afraid of him.

    Consider:  Donald Trump spends a huge part of his 4 year term as President fighting off the "Russia Collusion" accusations that ended up causing his impeachments.  What Russian collusion ?  So we're to believe that the Russians along with Donald Trump fooled Americans into voting for him in 2016 ?  That is the logic of the entire accusation.  It doesn't even make sense.  How ?  The entire thing was a ruse and you never hear it spoken of anymore because it reads like a ridiculous accusation.  Only the true rank and file of the Democratic party actually believed there was anything going on with Trump and Russia.  They were stealing the headlines away from Donald Trump by accusing Donald Trump.  People in power are afraid of him.

Consider:  The mysterious COVID virus that suddenly popped up just on time to deflate the economy that Trump had built up with pro-business policies.  Those in fear could not allow a re-election of Donald Trump and they're even willing to drag down the economy in order to sabotage his chances.  The significance of the COVID virus under a normal President (that powerful people did not fear), would have been to get the vulnerable people away from crowds to protect them.  It's that simple. The media and their corporate overlords decided to exploit the situation by stirring  up fears that ALL people need to hide in their houses as if they were also vulnerable to dying from COVID.   Then their candidate could blame Donald Trump for all the bad that is happening.  Kamila Harris even used that in this election during the debate when she mentioned the high unemployment and horrible economy back in 2020 -- counting on her dim-witted constituents not to consider that there was a pandemic going on at the time.  Powerful people are afraid of him.

Consider:  The coup that occurred against Joe Biden to remove him from the possibility of losing to Donald Trump - which was looking more and more likely with each passing week.  I'm sincerely surprised he's still alive.  Powerful people are afraid of him.

Consider:  Two attempts on Donald Trump's life as of this writing - both under very odd, mysterious circumstances.  I'm not going to get into the details of the questions behind each attempt, let's suffice it to say- Powerful people are afraid of him.

     Donald Trump could step into the White House and conceivably turn on the lights of the nation's capital  to reveal the swarm of roaches scurrying away all over Washington, DC.  Heads of blubbery fat agencies.  Bureaucrats by the millions.  Lobbyists and Washington insiders.  All the little piggies suckling at the tit of the American tax payer.   In the past,  Presidents - from either political side- would just play along with the rape of the American people.  We already know Trump won't.  That's why ordinary middle class people like him.   Powerful people are afraid of Donald Trump.  Who are these powerful people exactly ?  I don't really know.   Likely they are very powerful and wealthy people - all over the world- that do not want to be revealed or discussed by you and me for some reason- I know not why.  Some may be famous.  A lot probably who have gained from this rigged system- names we all know.   Mad King George and his royal court.  The fear that he instills in them implies something significant- not just that they may lose some money, maybe some power.  I sense a lot of them fear incarceration.  Prison.  That would explain the hyper effort to block him at every turn.

     Powerful people are afraid of Donald Trump because he was one of them and he knows their game and he's not afraid of them.  As President he may legitimately find out things that could lead them to lose everything, including their freedom.  In my humble opinion.....

*Mad King George is my name for the morass of powerful groups that suckle at the tit of America to get richer and more powerful - the corporate media, the big pharmaceuticals, the medical field,  mutli-national banks, insurance conglomerates,  corporations,  Hollywood, lobbyists, academia (universities receive massive amounts of money from the government), etc...  These people have no regard for ordinary Americans, in fact they most likely hate us.  Howard Stern announced this week regarding "anyone" that supports Trump is someone he "hates".  We are what the French aristocrats would call the "bourgeois".  Basically an insult to ordinary middle class people.  You know, the ones that really do make the world function.

Wealth of Nations.... Leaders

 Chuck Marshall's Humble Opinion regarding;

Donald Trump's troubles & the media's lack of interest in the wealth of our existing leaders.

Nancy Pelosi-  net worth is well over $150 million - internet search reveals it's all from her husband's real estate ventures  "apparently"  and her "wise stock trading" (what journalism !).  Couldn't be that she had insider information on legislation and capitalized on that, huh ?  She hardly seems like a Wall Street guru.   Almost always,  you cannot get a clear picture how she - her- Nancy Pelosi became so rich so quickly on $237k per year. These are the same people that wonder why independent journalism is gaining so much attention.   Because independents ask real questions, that's why.

     As usual, Donald Trump is in the news.  Today it is for his legal woes with the state of New York and his tendency to "cook" the books as most rich people do.  I'm not excusing it, if he did wrong then he needs to be penalized as the law dictates.  My problem is this sort of scrutiny is never laid out for "career" politicians.  Our "so called" leaders who've been in power for decades and somehow became very wealthy on salaries of around $200k per year.   If they're going after  Donald Trump then they need to go after the rest of them.  Those who are in power right now !   They are getting rich but are NOT doing their job and yet are still above reproach from the mainstream media.  Most especially the Democratic leaders.

    Today I wrote a letter to the Orlando Sentinel regarding all this.  It reads;

"Regarding the headline of Donald Trump's financial troubles as a consequence of court ordered penalties, if he did wrong as was outlined, then he should be in trouble.  My only concern is this sort of scrutiny is cast towards all political actors that upset the "status quo" of our modern big government and their corporate overlords.    The cronyism between big media, big government and large corporations is obvious.  The same scrutiny is rarely placed on left leaning career politicians, many of whom miraculously become wealthy on $150k per year salaries.  I never hear or see that questioned or scrutinized by the media, the justice department or the courts."

    We'll see if they print it- in their defense they did print my last letter regarding taxes and the obsession the left has with taxing the rich- their favorite talking point.  It reads;

Printed January 30, 2024 The Orlando Sentinel

 Taxes – rich vs. poor

 "Interesting editorial regarding the tax rate percentages where the Sentinel and Sun-Sentinel cite a “progressive” organization’s information, data, and opinion as total fact — I guess because it leans left?

At the core of the opinion is that all people should pay the same percentage of property taxes. If you make $10,000 per year you should pay $100 in property tax whereas if you make $100 million per year, you should pay $1 million in property taxes. Never mind that property tax is supposed to be to cover basic civil usage — roads, garbage collection, schools, police control. Does the millionaire get more out of the roads than a poor person? In addition, wealthier people don’t even typically send their children to public schools?

Federal income tax is already “progressive” and “fair,” but still our federal government is many trillions of dollars in debt. In other words, that does not work. I suggest a luxury sales tax. If you’re so determined to take from the rich and give to the poor, go after what the one can’t afford and the other can’t live without.

Chuck Marshall

Clermont"

Anybody doubt Donald Trump would hesitate paying taxes to get another yacht ? (If he could still afford one, I mean).

In My most humble opinion....  have a great day.

How the Media Sold Me On Donald Trump

By Chuck Marshall

     The Donald.  Trump.  President Trump.  I don't think any single person has elicited such emotion from the general population as Donald Trump.  "Love him or hate him" should be his motto because that's how it is in America right now.  You either love him or hate him.  I actually don't love or hate him but I am amused by him and I understand what he's doing.  I've heard many Democrats go on about how stupid he is but if  there's one thing I can say with the utmost of confidence-  Donald Trump IS NOT stupid.

     Before the elections of 2016 I hated Trump.  I thought he was exactly what all the Democrats think of him.  Just fill in the blank and that's what I thought of him !  Among the Republican candidates I was a very big Marco Rubio supporter.  I even did volunteer work for Rubio and registered as a Republican so I could vote for him in the primaries here in Florida.   Spanish speakers refer to him as "the silver tongued one" and he is in Spanish and in English,  IMHO. The reasons for my support were multiple, but I especially admire his great eloquence.  (something even Trumpkins cannot claim of The Donald is eloquence)   I still think Rubio is the smartest Republican of significant status in Washington, DC.   The mainstream media disliked Rubio because it was obvious he could beat Hillary Clinton,  so they attacked Rubio but left Trump alone during the primaries thinking there was "no way" Trump could beat Hillary.  This they lived to regret.   The conservative media disliked Rubio because he's always been open to negotiating with the Democrats and getting things done for a change in DC.

      My opinion of "The Donald"  changed on election night.  After mourning the defeat of Marco Rubio - who was clearly the best candidate IMHO- I dismissed all politics from my life and watched casually as "The Donald" and "Hillary" fought it out.  I watched the debates and considered it was like watching professional wrestling VS Greco Roman Wrestling.  Hillary was the strong "traditional" politician, Trump was the "no holds barred" outsider.  Neither really won the debates because neither was playing the same game.  In the end Trump won, of course, because he walked away with the election.

     My opinion of "The Donald" changed in the hours that he looked like he was going to win the election that Tuesday night.   My opinion changed because overnight I witnessed the mask on the Mainstream media come falling off their faces.  The normal "feigned neutrality" of media was in full tailspin over Trump's election and their Halloween masks slipped off as they revealed their preference for our leadership in government.   They prefer Democrats and their ideals of government control.  None of it was an illusion of the right, it was actually very true and they no longer hid it.  The rest of the story is the continual battle between them and "The Donald" as they and the Dems hilariously attempt to remove him from office for doing the very things their buddies in the Democratic party do with almost no accountability.

     After watching the shock of Donald Trump's election, it occurred to me that I might actually enjoy watching the professional wrestler take on the media conglomerates and their minions in the Democratic party.  I no longer felt ill at his insults to his political opponents and I enjoy the news conferences where he told the Democratic reporters what he really thought of them and their "fair" coverage.  I can't imagine Marco Rubio surviving the scathing attacks of the media but The Donald not only survives it,  he relishes it !  The irony is they are the cause of his success with their  primary coverage favoring Trump.  They fuel the fire of his obnoxious personality with their sanctimony and self righteous virtue signalling and shrill coverage over "non issues" that only matter to people who watch soap operas.  They and the Democrats had a good thing going but I know most conservative Americans will never trust them again.  Gone are the days of polite manners while our government and the media coordinate the removal of individual rights, one at at time.  Drain the swamp Donald !   Drain the Swamp.

In My Humble Opinion.

Why You Might Vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump

By Chuck Marshall

After a terribly contentious election year,  which is now drawing to a close,  I've decided to write a positive blog elaborating on the good in both candidates-- to help anyone who is feeling so flustered or concerned about their selection.  Don't fret too much about the whole thing.  We still live in a free society where the fact of the matter is, whoever is elected will have their power checked by the other branches of government and the press. In fact, that's one of the keys to my complaints about the election process is the candidates are never engaged with questions as to what they would do to work with Congress.  President Obama was, in my humble opinion, a failure in this endeavor.

Why you might vote for Hillary Clinton:

1)  Hillary has a great degree of experience having served 30 years in various forms of the government.   Most importantly, as Secretary of State for 4 years.   An essential aspect of the American President is diplomacy and foreign affairs.   There is no learning curve here.

2)  Hillary served as a US Senator.  This experience should prove invaluable in her quickly getting to work,  in cooperation  with Congress,  to accomplishing  things done at the top level.   Can you imagine a government that actually gets things done ?  Again, there is no learning curve here.

3)  Having been married to the President of the United States for 8 years, surely she learned quite a lot, and with all due acknowledgement to Bill Clinton's problems, the 90's were a very prosperous decade.  As she learns the process, her husband should be an enormous asset for her and for the country.

4)  I think Hillary is (underneath all the rhetoric)  a moderate Democrat not a left wing Democrat like Obama., therefor she's more likely to work with Congress.  Again, one of the most important aspects of being President is working with Congress.  She has the knowledge and ability and political wisdom to get things done no matter which party is running Congress.

5)  She's obviously very intelligent.  I think we all want our President to be as highly intelligent as is possible.  The stakes are so very high.

6)   People say "she's not likable".   Not being "likable" is not a reason to dismiss a candidate.  As Oprah Winfrey put it;  "She's not gong to be coming over to your house".   In addition, she seems to be a good mother to Chelsea., and Chelsea seems to be a fine and successful young woman.  You can't fake good kids.

Why you might vote for Donald Trump;

1)  Donald has been an important part of raising his children, despite being divorced from their mother (except for the youngest, of course).   All of his kids seem to be very bright and successful and happy.  That takes a lot of doing, commitment and love.  Again, you can't fake good kids.

2) A successful businessman,  Donald understands how to negotiate and deal with situations in the best interest of his business and his family.   As the President he will be negotiating and dealing in the best interest of the American people.  I'm not sure we've ever had a good  negotiator as President, so this could yield even more than anyone thinks.

3)  Donald is unpredictable, which I know Wall Street hates, but our enemies also hate it.  I feel like ISIS  is far less  likely to attack our country when  President Trump has openly questioned why we don't use nuclear weapons "since we have them".  That will jolt them  awake from their sleep during any of their barbaric plans to harm our country.

4)  Tireless.  I am very, very impressed with his work ethic.  The man does not stop, and he is more determined than I've ever seen anyone to succeed.   That sort of determination is what we need in a President, and on the side of the American people.

5)  Although Republican, I think everybody knows the Republican hierarchy see Trump as a highly unfortunate nominee.  A political nightmare.   They have demonstrated this by not lifting a finger to help the man out.  Because of this, I think Trump will be in a prime position to be one of the least partisan Presidents we've had in a long time.  The government must get back to "doing things"., and stop arguing about everything.  Perhaps Trump, of all people, could be the one to do that. Can you imagine the irony ?

6) Trump owes nothing to anyone, he self financed his election and is already financially successful.  It's  nice  to consider there aren't little "deals" going on after he's elected to help wealthy interests get what they want ahead of the American citizen.  We come first, and that has been one of the more convincing mantras coming from the Trump camp;  "I am going to be working for you".

Finally, I say a prayer for  our country;  "God please direct our nation to the best outcome for all considered"    Amen.

Donald Trump is Chocolate Mousse Cake

     Wow, Donald Trump  is really making this an election to remember.   To be perfectly honest, I am in the habit of glancing first through headlines to see what he did today to  offend or shock because it's always a good read.  I love to read what he says, I love to hear the media's exasperated interpretation and then I love to hear him clarify his position according to what he thinks we all want to hear but certainly NOT apologize to anyone, ever.   I also love to hear those that defend him and how they try to spin it in defense of him and rationalize his behavior - as if there's some logical plan in his mind other than "speaking his mind".   (I use to think that, but more and more I realize that's wishful thinking.) I love to hear those that hate him and watch them wriggle around in agony as they try to vocalize their acrimony that he's the Republican nominee.  I love to see the media misinterpret (supposedly) his comments when he's obviously being sarcastic.  I love that he's the worst speaker in a generation but he still has the nerve to stand in front of the country and explain that only HE can fix our country.  I love that he tweaks the "powers that be" in the Republican party and has knocked them off their high horses to the ground where they now run around in panicked circles.  (The Republican party should change their symbol from the elephant to the squirrel.)  I love his temerity, and I love his sarcasm, and I love his weird, rambling speeches,   "Huge", "It's going to be great", "It's going to be a beautiful thing", "THAT I promise you".    Trumpisms,   I love that my wife and a lot of people sincerely suspect he and Hillary set this up so she could win this election and we are witnessing the  biggest conspiracy in the history of the world.  Is Donald Trump a shill ?   All so delicious !  He's political chocolate mousse cake -sweet, decadent, rich and  fluffy.  Pure instant satisfaction.

     Unfortunately, like any rich desert after overdoing it with two to three pieces I get a crawling sensation on my skin and an odd sense of anxiety.  I don't think I need to review all his "incidents" for you, dear readers  just google search "Donald Trump news" and allow yourself to enjoy it while it lasts.  Let the latest outrage settle on your pallet and enjoy the fluffy nonsense for the utterly absurd situation that it is.

     If Donald Trump is Chocolate Mousse Cake then what is Hillary Clinton ?  She's a glass of curdled milk;  the same old political song we've heard forever and boy does it smell and taste bad.

     So, how do I feel about  this election for our country's future  ?  "Not Happy" I say in the manner of  Donald and his stunted sentences.   Not Happy at all.  But am I enjoying it for the Reality show that its become ?  You better believe it.  It has truly become, a guilty pleasure.

Trump Children May Win Him the Presidency

By Chuck Marshall

After writing more than a few blistering criticisms of Republican nominee, Donald Trump, I feel compelled to write tonight about how impressed I am with his children.  Is this his only redeeming quality ?  No, but it speaks the loudest because you can't hide behind how your children turn out.  That is something you really have to own., and with all our faults as human beings, how a parent raises a child and how they mature is significantly connected to the person who raised them, or failed to raise them.  Not all bad kids had bad parents, but I think it's safe to say most good, happy and successful adults have their parents to thank for how they turned out.   This is not just good breeding and wealth (look at Paris Hilton !) this is an effective person behind successful, good looking, well spoken, talented, intelligent children that all love their father-  five times over !     I am very impressed with Donald Trump's kids.

If you're a moderate trying to pick a poison, this may be the deciding factor.  At this point I am pondering Gary Johnson and Donald Trump and THAT is saying something because I really don't care for Donald Trump, but you can't argue with success and he just keeps on winning.  Most importantly, he won with what appears to be a superb job raising four fine adults.  That takes some doing.  Maybe he does have a shot at fixing some of our nation's big, bad, audacious problems.  Maybe.

Did We Do Away With the Word "Crazy" ?

The Far Side Tee Shirt Just Plain Nuts XL 1990 White Psychiatric Couch Patient:

Dear loyal readers,

     By now I'm sure you've  all heard the news regarding the slaughter of 49 innocent people by a nut job here in my hometown, Orlando, Fl.  (actually I live in a suburb of Orlando- Clermont but we are part of the "metro Orlando" population of 2.3 million people so... close enough.).   Anyway, I'm sure some of you are wondering why Chuck Marshall didn't write something sooner than this since all this happened in his hometown ?  Mainly, it's because my blog is not news, it's an opinion so I can't write down much until the situation has developed and my little brain has formed enough of an opinion such that I can dribble out some sort of rambling comments regarding the whole thing.

     First of all, of course I extend my deepest condolences to anyone affected by this travesty.  I can only imagine how difficult  this is for those people.   They should know that the world prays for them and their families.  I had my own panic attack as the news developed on Sunday morning.  When they said the number was up to 50, I suddenly thought of my nieces and nephews - all in their 20's and all still at the "clubbing age".  It's fashionable for kids today to go to gay bars on occasion, so my mind jumped immediately to my two nieces living in Orlando.  I texted them both...: "Are you guys ok?   Please let me know, watching news"    I was frantic until I got word within the hour they were fine.   How awful to text your loved one and never hear back.  Only silence.  I was also part of the new Facebook "I'm safe" feature.  I got a message from FB that they noticed I was in the vicinity of the shooting in Orlando and I could click the button to let all my FB friends know I was OK.  I haven't been in a nightclub in years and am way past such libations but I understood as I clicked "I"M OK" that people will still worry no matter how slim the chances.  Strange world.

    Second of all, of course this has turned into a political cat fight.   Both presumed candidates have weighed in with what you would expect from the left and right.  Donald Trump  is a bit more theatrical and bizarre  than you would normally hear (as usual)  but the point is the same as always from both sides.  The right says we should restrict Muslims to some extent, go after the culprits and kick some butt (kick whose butt, exactly?)   The left says we need more gun control and we have to be very, very careful not to upset the Muslims lest  more terrorists are inspired to drop more bombs and shoot up more of us. (I'm so concerned about upsetting the terrorists !)   And, as usual they're both hysterical and sort of stupid about the whole thing.

   What does Chuck Marshall  think?  I like to entertain the idea that we have a smart government.  It's fun !  Like fantasizing about the lottery.  Imagine you're living on a planet inhabited by wise citizens being ruled by a government that actually takes action to solve problems.   On this fantasy planet the government is actually smart and it forms ideas to solve problems rather than  simply debating  the problem from opposing views until we've all forgotten what the original problem was.   In other words, they DO SOMETHING.  The core of the problem is mental illness.  All of these shootings are done by nut-case freaks.  Yes, he may have been "inspired" by ISIS but he's still crazy !!  We're talking "Cra-Cra" here folks !  All of these mass shooters are died-in the wool, bona-fide lunatics.  The cable news works so hard to define the whole damn thing, they turn themselves into pretzels analyzing the  event.  But really ?    In the words of the great Chris Rock; "Did we do away with the word "Crazy"?" Lock them up, observe them and set a Psychiatrist loose on them.  Anyone who talks about how much they love ISIS or posts on FB violent ideas or who strangles puppies or runs over cats with a lawnmower is a threat to us all and they need a psychiatrist not an AK47 !    That will solve the problem.

So, there you have it... a solution.  Don't forget to click an ad and share this blog and  remember,......everyone is entitled to Chuck Marshall's Humble Opinion.

Reality TV with Real Consequences Part 7

By Chuck Marshall

Mr. Donald "Egomaniac.com" Trump - Republican (New York)

I've already mentioned Donald Trump in a previous blog that was not very flattering.  I also had a letter published in the Orlando Sentinel that was pretty clear in my disapproval.    I must admit after observing and listening to him over the past couple of months I've come to appreciate what people seem to like about him.   In fact, in some ways I find him pretty funny- which is always a good thing.  He's got a decent sense of humor and his bombastic style can be a refreshing change from the canned talk of the other Republicans.  He has certainly made the entire election process entertaining and I think both parties understand now that the citizens are not happy right now.  HOWEVER, as President of the United States I think he's out of the question.

"Why, Chuck" you ask ?  I'm going to just simply quote him.  An analysis is  unnecessary if you read what he says.

“I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”
Read more at http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/blogs/550112/donald-trump-quotes.html#wpTvJ78gUvwto1Xi.99
How trump became pro-life.  "I saw things with people and people that I know and it made me change".

The Wall;  “I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

On Mexican immigrants;  “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bring crime. They’re rapists… And some, I assume, are good people.”

Then there are his standard answer to any complicated question;  "We're looking into that"

"The nuclear triad?  That was a gotcha question"

I'm not going to write anything else about Donald Trump because everything has already been written about him and he gets way more attention than is fair.   Fox news in particular has been his "bitch" for several months now.   He plays all the media like a fiddle.  I'm not going to be played.   Let me say this- in my humble opinion-  his candidacy has been a "horror show", "a disaster", "a disgrace" for the Republican party...."That I can tell you"...."I promise you that".   Still he leads in the polls.... For the political right wing, that's the real horror show.

The Age of Incompetence - 2015 Reviewed

by Chuck Marshall

 Dear devoted readers,

 As we bid 2015 farewell, I'd like to review some of the more irritating stories of 2015 because that makes me feel better.  Somehow it's the ointment that soothes the swelling of my discontent.  These are in no particular order, so just see them as all equally irritating in my eyes.

Donald Trump-  I have written a couple of blogs regarding "the Donald" and I even had a letter published criticizing him to the local bugle,  "The Orlando Sentinel".  My feelings are a little more lenient as I've gotten use to his antics and I see him as less "concerning" and more as an "opportunistic egomaniac" who knows how to use the press.  He's also a smart businessman, and this is all just business to him.  As much as I don't want him to be President, I do see the appeal in his humor and his success in the business world.  We've let the lawyers and bureaucrats run the show for so long, I sincerely don't see how he could do any worse.  As for all his statements that "alarm" the press and the left.... nearly all of these are impossible for him to do - he knows it and the press knows it but it gets him attention and it gets the press "eyeballs" and that's all either of them really cares about.  If  his fans really believe he can do these things he promises then they need to crack open their 8th grade civics book.  I say that with the caveat that all politicians do the same thing, but Trump is a lot more clever about it.   He lies like all of them, but he just lies BIGGER .   Used car salesmen promise "it's the best value"  but  Donald Trump  is the only one with the nerve to promise it will also fly.

Climate Change (or whatever you want to call it) -   This is such a political "hot potato" but in my humble opinion, it should not be.  If the scientists say it's a problem then I certainly don't have the knowledge to argue with them.  Why would they lie ?  Are they all Democrats ?   And, if I might add... assuming they are correct then it's everybody's problem not just the Democrats.  The controversy really lies more in the solution than the actual problem.  The Republicans have allowed the Democrats to steal this one right from under their noses with the notion that the only way to fix it is through the government.  The conservatives need to start offering solutions to this problem and not keep trying to deny it's even a problem    Remember, this is our planet - our children and grandchildren will be the ones who pay if we don't get this right.  The right needs to get their head out of their ass and propose free enterprise solutions to a real problem.  All problems have the  highest potential to be solved from both the government and free enterprise.--that is--when both act in concert.  It's not that complicated.

ISIS/ISIL/Daesh/Nazis/ Scum -  Please can we at least come to an agreement on what to call them ?  This group of murderers is getting so much attention and often it seems there is a desire in the media to blame someone.  Was it Bush for invading Iraq ?  Was it Obama's fault for withdrawing form Iraq?  Was it Obama for not stepping in when it started looking bad in Syria several years ago ?  Is it Europe's fault for being spineless cowards in the face of such a nearby threat ?   Is it the moderate Muslims for not expressing enough outrage ?  Is it our fault for provoking extremist Muslims ?    In my humble opinion, it's all of the above but MOSTLY it's the fault of ISIS themselves.  They are the ones "doing" it after all.   Now, let's coordinate with the non-murdering world to remove these scum from power.

National Debt-  It's now nearly $19,000,000,000,000- That's Trillions.  The Demcorats?  In my mind this is the left version of "Global Warming".  They have their heads up their ass as they seem to think it's absolutely no problem - even offering all kinds of new goodies to hand out such as free college education.  It is a total outrage that this is such an ignored issue by the left.   I promise you though that they will pay attention when  our nation veers towards bankruptcy but then, as with Global Warming,  it may be too late.

The Political Parties-  Today we are looking at Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as the most probably options for the general election.  Do I really need so say anything else regarding both groups and their total failure to the American people?

Donald Trump and His Mysterious Attraction to Republicans

"I Don't Get It"

By Chuck Marshall

     I get that Donald Trump is an outsider and that he "says what's on his mind"., but I am still very confused why the Republican party still supports him in pretty large numbers, especially here in Florida.   It defies reason.  I try to keep in mind that reason and the Republican party have not had much in common for a while, but this love affair with Donald Trump sends me off the rails.   Fox news fawns over him.  Nobody gets more attention than him from all the networks, and he abuses them !   To use one of his eloquent lines "I don't get it"

Consider this short and brief listing of a few of his shortcomings- and I will keep this brief;

     He is a bully.. a "name calling" politician of the lowest form and speaks mostly in terms of why his opponents are "no good".    "They lack energy, they have strange religions, they have an ugly face, they can't control their personal spending, they can't talk to the Russians".   Not even good criticism. Silly criticism. ....... He's pathological towards anyone who criticizes him or asks a tough question or both........He has declared bankruptcy twice and then has the nerve to criticize Rubio for bad personal finances........He was  born into money and has no idea what middle class Americans go through. How can he help fix America when he has no real understanding of the problems the common man faces?.....Historically he has been "pro-choice" until the last year or so since he decided to run for office as a Republican.........Hillary Clinton  came to his wedding- they are chums......He is very much a part of the power elite that I thought the right wing despised?.........He makes comments like "I'm going to build a wall, you're not going to believe this wall"........Any questions for specifics get a response like "Yeah., we're  looking into that".

     The Republican party members need to start using their brain and consider how "The Donald" will do against Hillary.  Polls show he would lose to her.  He has zero support among Hispanics.  He is so bad and such a cancer to the Republican party that I wouldn't be surprised to hear he purposely ran in the race to make them look even more inept in the nations eyes, ie, he's a closet Democrat !   Whatever it is, I am sorely disappointed that such a  man is seen as acceptable in the eyes of so many of my countrymen.   Things really are bad this year but we should never be so angry and frustrated as to nominate  an indecent and crass man to the position of candidate for President.  We're better than this.

Hillary and The Donald

     Our country has truly dropped to a new low with these two as the front runners to be President.   Donald Trump is a wind bag egomaniac with not one ounce of class.  He calls his opponents names and gives out their phone numbers to the public.  It's like watching a mob boss run for President.  He runs his mouth about what he's going to do with no explanation of how he'll do it.  The only thing I've agreed with that has come out of his mouth was the comment he made on O'Reilly that our country is in trouble and on the decline.  He is living evidence of that fact.

     Hillary Clinton is a liar and a hypocrite.  She is most likely the reason for the debacle that was Benghazi (and the deaths of all those people, including our Ambassador to Libya)  and she has been carefully getting rid of evidence to that fact.   She is fake and impersonal and is only in her position because she is married to President Clinton.   It has just come out in an editorial in the Wall Street Journal that she and Bill donated $15 Million to charities  over the years 2007-2014.  The charity?  The Clinton Foundation of which the two of them benefit from greatly - personal jets, political trips, etc... They donated to a charity and the charity is them !  So, she and Bill got tax deductions, ergo "government subsidies",  to support their ambitions..... to run the government !   Now THAT, is rich.
    Once again,  I can't believe how absurd our process of selecting leaders is today.   With 310 Million people we should be able to do much, much better than this.  This is ridiculous.   Why must we go on following what each of the parties select for us when they are of the ilk that Hillary and The Donald are.  They don't come much more crooked than this folks, and they are the front runners for each of our beloved parties.  May God help us all and may God help our country.

In my humble opinion.....
